A close friend brought to my attention an npr.org article about Tucker Carlson that elicited from me, the following;
I shouldn’t want to ‘believe’ anything anyone in the media tells me.
Journalists offer stories and ideas that require investigation, not to be taken at face value. Journalists have to earn the right to present ideas to you.
Article such as this one, although I have not checked its voracity, are more about preventing people being exposed to ideas, by debasing the author. They do not want you to even investigate the idea let alone form and opinion and perhaps ‘believe’ in the underlying merit of the idea.
Terms such as racist are also used to smear authors and journalists, ultimately, the victims of the smear are those whom are no longer exposed to different perspectives of the world, limiting their ability to form their own view of the world. This makes them more pliable and willing to accept dogmas.

For journalists such as Tucker Carlson to earn the right for me to listen to his reports, stories and ideas, I like to understand what makes him tick. His body of work is one method, albeit an incomplete way of understanding whether his ideas are worthy of investigation.
Tucker himself being interviewed, in a long form is even better in my humble option. This is why Joe Rogan is such an important institution right now.
Tucker being interviewed by Dave Rubin in 2018 was good, but not on the level with Charlie Kirk’s interview with him in December. Illuminating and quite alarming. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51IDY50TCz0)
You have to ask why don’t ’they’ want you to listen to Tucker Carlson. What don’t ’they’ want you unpack. Tucker confronts;
- the big-tech oligarchies
- RINOs in conservative DC
- the Communist bandits in China and minions in the West
- Antifa and the neo-Maoist BLM
- the forever war uni-party
and everything in-between.
When centre-right historian Niall Ferguson refers to Tucker’s monologues as “almost required viewing these days”, I’m inclined to agree with him. Even though I can’t stand Fox News!
